Pan Fried Brussel Sprouts

Who says Brussel sprouts can’t be delicious? This way of preparing Brussel sprouts is super tasty and easy to incorporate into your lunch or dinner! Brussel sprouts are a great source of vitamin C and are rich in antioxidants making them a great vegetable option. The lemon juice and zest makes them more fresh, perfect for hot summer nights and picky eaters!

  • Yield: 4 cups 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Brussel sprouts 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • Lemon zest 
  • ½ a lemon (juice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • 4 cloves of garlic

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the Brussel sprouts in half, and pat dry with a paper towel. 
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan with garlic until fragrant 
  3. Add the Brussel sprouts. 
  4. Fry each side for 5 minutes, or until slightly brown. 
  5. Place on a paper towel to remove excess oil. 
  6. Squeeze lemon juice on top and add lemon zest, salt and pepper. 
  7. Serve right away or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
