Mashed Sweet Potatoes

 As the weather cools down and the holidays are around the corner, it’s time for some hearty recipes. These mashed sweet potatoes are the perfect place to start. They’re easy and delicious to make for dinner, a potluck, or even just for yourself! Sweet potatoes are full of vitamins and antioxidants that may help fight free radicals. It is also full of fibre which helps keep you fuller for longer and promotes a healthy gut.

  • ½ cup of milk 
  • ½ cup butter 
  • Salt


  1. Salt a large pot of water and bring it to a boil
  2. Add the sweet potatoes and cook for 15 minutes, covered, until soft 
  3. Drain out the water
  4. Mash the sweet potatoes with a masher or fork until your desired consistency 
  5. Stir in milk, salt and butter, add more if desired and serve!
